Anne Hathaway recently turned orange for her role as Emma in Bride Wars. The actress was required to don orange make-up for a sequence in which she turns orange for a role. But while Anne was sporting enough make-up for the orange look, what she hadn’t anticipated was that she’ll have to walk down the 5th Avenue in the look. Recalls Anne, “Walking down 5th Avenue in a shade of bright orange was one of the most surreal moments of my life. We did that shoot and the camera was hidden and so people just thought I was walking down the street completely orange. The cell phone cameras were coming out all around me and I did feel like a bit of a freak, but it’s all for art, I guess.” The actress also revealed that she needed an hour to put on the make-up, and it took even longer o get rid off it. “There was a lot of scrubbing and scrubbing in the shower to try to get it off. I don’t want to think about how much water I wasted. It was just awful,” she laughed.
