‘Nude scene? Me? Noooo!’: Neetu Chandra

“I’d have worn a pair of skimpy shorts to go with my top, but I’m afraid the bike might burn my skin. I have very sensitive skin, so will these skin-tight jeans do?” asks Neetu Chandra who, right after playing the doting gharelu wife in 13B, looks set to cause a few traffic accidents in this shoot!

She’s got her hands full these days with some rocking film assignments. Then there’s also the ‘dangerous curves ahead’ issue — she has put on some weight in recent months. Rubbishing this, she replies, “After a minor accident in Goa, the doctor told me to cool it for a while. I couldn’t exercise, so I did put on a little weight. But with my athletic background, which keeps my metabolism moving, I know I can shed it just as fast.”

Striking various poses for BT, the luscious Neetu oozes sex appeal and says,“I’m very comfortable with my body and with my sexy curves. Yes, I have a tendency to put on weight. But, ask any man whether I look unattractive. Indian women are naturally curvy and voluptuous. Who wants to be stickthin anyway?” Not many know that she is also a karate expert and destresses with a good oneon-one game of basketball. “I love shooting some hoops. I’m a total sports buff,” she reveals. Neetu is currently shooting for Rann, a film in which she has replaced Raima Sen. Was there any bad blood? “Casting is the filmmaker’s prerogative. Tomorrow, I might be replaced in a film myself,” she reasons. And then is the rumour that she plans to do a nude scene in a forthcoming foreign film. “I, too, read this... Let me state that no matter how sexy men find me, I will never do a nude scene.” Although she’s comfortable with being a sex symbol, and indeed, has no problem with the appreciation she gets for her body, she is also happy about the fact that she has pulled off the kind of roles she has in Traffic Signal and Oye Lucky. Now doesn’t that give us a lot more to appreciate?
